The International Arbitration Expert Programme ("IArbX Programme") is designed to provide professionals with an in-depth understanding of international arbitration as a method for resolving complex disputes. This program covers the foundational principles of arbitration law, explores key sources of arbitration law, and delves into international arbitration conventions and institutional rules. Participants will learn about the practical aspects of arbitration, including the powers and jurisdiction of arbitrators, handling multi-party disputes, and managing hearing procedures. The program also addresses remedies for dissatisfaction with arbitral decisions and the enforcement of arbitral awards.

Nicholas is a construction, energy and international arbitration lawyer.  He is a solicitor-advocate, chartered surveyor, accredited adjudicator and mediator.  Nicholas sits as arbitrator and on dispute boards. The FCX Programme, jointly delivered by Expertise Institute and Fenwick Elliott, provides comprehensive training on the FIDIC Suite of Contracts, aiming to equip participants with a deep understanding of their intricacies. It covers the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of employers, contractors, and engineers/employer’s representatives, as well as topics such as subcontracting, performance securities, insurances, payments, certificates, claims management, variations, extension of time, suspension, termination, completion, and dispute resolution within the context of FIDIC contracts.
